I liked it! I kept waiting for a scary part, even though you said it was a cosy. :) I loved the pencil drawing, too. It was a good choice to set the scene.
I'm always a fan of ghostly things. Thanks for writing and sharing it 👻
I liked the choice of tour guide narration, and the dancing ghost was cute. It's always good to try things out of our comfort zone - I'll be publishing a story on my Substack this weekend which strays outside my usual territory too.
Thank you! I'm not used to writing more positive things but it's where my writing brain is at. And I will check out your story when it's published. Wishing you a great writing week.
Delightful story - the voice is perfect!
Love the way you nailed the speech.
Thanks! I feel like it works best read aloud. Maybe I need an audio version...
I hate the sound of my voice. No audio for me thanks.
Oh I do as well, I'd definitely ask someone else to do the audio on my behalf!
Absolutely perfect and the voice is wonderful! Reminds me of a ghost tour I took in Savannah, GA. Really a sweet little story.
Thanks Terra! 😊 That ghost tour sounds like fun.
That was a ton of fun! I really liked the nugget about Poor Sorry Phil, overall the piece was a lovely bit of cozy gothic.
I am learning so many new genres right now
I'm pretty sure I just made up Cozy Gothic, but knowing the internet it probably already exists and has a dedicated following.
Tim Burton movies spring to mind, Dark Shadows, for example.

Sometimes even horror writers write happier things 🙂 You have a good week too!
I used Spotify, they had a robot voice, pretty good. Better than my noise anyway.
